At iZotope, we love audio in all its shapes and forms. "The New Audio Podcast" is a forum for candid, spirited, and and wide-ranging discussions with audio engineers, producers, and musicians. We'll get to the bottom of the things, chat about industry trends, music, and even meet some of iZotope's talented core of audio professionals.
In this, our fourth installment, iZotope Research Sound Design Manager Jack Cote gives an informal overview of the history of vocal effects. From vocoders to polyvox, talk-boxes to Skrillex, audio processing before and after World War II, a lot of ground is covered very quickly. We even talk a bit about iZotope’s latest effects hotness, VocalSynth.
